The Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health obliges the operator of an Ex system to have competent persons, planning engineers and safety specialists regularly trained.
The seminar refreshes the basics of explosion protection.
New legal regulations (GefStoffV, BetrSichV, TRBS) and standards (DIN IEC and DIN ISO) are presented, and everyday challenges in explosion protection are also discussed:
How do you avoid potential pitfalls when verifying intrinsic safety?
How can you check whether the documentation of the intrinsically safe circuits is legally compliant?
Which devices and safety/control and regulating devices in the overall system require an Ex marking?
How do I create and/or update an explosion protection document? With my own staff or by outsourcing?
What requirements should maintenance personnel meet?
What should be considered when outsourcing work (maintenance and repair)?
When is which test to be carried out - and by whom?
Who bears what responsibility? To what extent can responsibility be delegated?
Approaches to Industry 4.0 in the chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and other process industries can be discussed.
An ignition source analysis for an assembly of electrical and non-electrical devices can be carried out together.
The seminar covers all the points required by the Industrial Safety Regulation. It offers a guideline for the participants' professional practice with the opportunity to exchange experiences with each other.
On the subject
Annex 2 of the Ordinance on Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment (Betriebssicherheitsverordnung - BetrSichV) regulates the inspection regulations for systems requiring monitoring. Section 3 (Explosion hazards) requires that a person authorized to inspect must keep their knowledge of explosion hazards up to date by participating in training or instruction.
The HDT seminar "Further training in explosion protection" fulfills this requirement.
Objective
Exchange of experience between practitioners in explosion protection. This includes short case studies to which you bring your own information. This information will remain with you and will be treated confidentially.
Circle of participants
All persons who work in explosion protection and want to update their existing explosion protection knowledge. Above all: VEFK - responsible electricians in chemical plants, occupational safety specialists, explosion protection officers, fire protection officers, plant planners, maintenance managers, electrical and mechanical specialists specializing in the construction and maintenance of plants.
