Great Britain: Recall of unsafe ATEX devices

The British product safety authority has initiated a recall of certain electronic devices that were marketed as "intrinsically safe" for Zone 1/2, but pose a serious risk of explosion and fire.  gov.uk. Affected are smartphones, laptops, and smartwatches of the brand Dorland (origin: China), which were sold through Amazon and advertised as ATEX-certified. gov.uk. The regulatory authority instructed Amazon to withdraw these devices from circulation and recall them from end users in the UK. gov.uk. (Published on April 7, 2025)
